Late Rally by Beavers Secures Win
The Beavers had to overcome a fine performance from Oklahoma City pitcher Benjamin Bertrand to grab a 6-3 win at Waterfront Park. Bertrand allowed 1 earned run over 6.1 innings. The winner was Portland reliever Alonso Esquivel, now 3-3. The loser was Garth Daniels. Portland currently is in 4th place in the Thurman Munson League Sparky Anderson Division at 52-55.

Portland took a 5-3 lead in the bottom of the eighth inning, when Wilson Flores hit a clutch 2-run home run to bring Beavers fans to their feet.

In comments to the Portland Daily, Flores admitted that he doesn't always push himself. "But the results," he said, "speak for themselves."
