The game between Kansas City and Mile High is in the books, despite a little rain.
Kansas City beat Mile High at Debris Field, eking out a 3-2 win. The win was due in large part to pitcher Vincent Vickers, who earned player of the game honors. Kansas City is now 54-52, Mile High 43-64.
Kansas City took the lead in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and runners on 1st and 2nd, Jesús Cruz stroked a run-scoring single to make it 3-2, Tornadoes.
Cruz said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.
