The Kansas City Tornadoes beat the Georgia Grays, 6-4, at The Death Star. The Tornadoes got a fine performance from first baseman Akio Toyoda, who captured player of the game honors. He went 2-4 with a home run. He scored 2 times. Ramón Vázquez earned the win for Kansas City. He lasted 5 innings, allowing 3 earned runs on 5 hits, while striking out 1.
