Prowlers Get Road Win, 8-5
|
The Oklahoma City Prowlers downed the Portland Beavers, 8-5, at Waterfront Park. Sandoval Capaz led the way, going 3-for-5 for Oklahoma City. Lewis Portsmouth got credit for the win, improving to 3-6. He allowed 5 runs on 8 hits in 6 innings. The Prowlers are now 48-57, while the Beavers fall to 51-55.
The Prowlers had to work out of trouble in the bottom of the seventh. The score was 8-5, Oklahoma City, with no one out. Portland, with a runner on 1st, was mounting a threat. Freddy Garza dug in at the plate, but on a first pitch fastball, he flied out.
