Mustangs Come Back Late to Top Tornadoes
|
The Mile High Mustangs defeated the Kansas City Tornadoes, 6-5, at Debris Field. Mile High shortstop Edwin Pratt was named player of the game for his superb performance. He was 3-3 with a double and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Getting the save was Kenkichi Kodo, his 13th. Mile High is 43-63 and Kansas City, with the loss, 53-52.
Ted Burbidge made it 6-4 in favor of Mile High when he delivered a 2-run home run. It came with no one out in the top of the eighth. The Mustangs went on to win.
"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Kansas City manager Alex Woods. "The effort was great."
