Bombers Lose, 7-5, at Golden Gate Park
|
San Francisco withstood an impressive performance by South Carolina second baseman Baber Davi to defeat the Bombers, 7-5, at Golden Gate Park. Davi was 4 for 4 with 2 doubles and 2 singles. Jonathan Martin picked up the save, his 4th. San Francisco goes to 7-4 with the win.
Had it not been for Lorenzo Atilano, the results might have been different. In the bottom of the seventh inning, when the Earthquakes were trailing 3-2, Atilano hit a 2-run home run for San Francisco, giving his team the lead.
"We've got a great group of guys," Atilano said, "and we're having fun right now."
