Ishii Helps Jesters Beat Toreros
|
Jersey right fielder Akio Ishii was instrumental in his team's 7-3 win over the Cabo San Lucas Toreros. Ishii went 4-5 with 3 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Jesters. Su-gyung Park picked up the win with 6.1 innings of work. He allowed 3 earned runs on 5 hits, while walking 8 and striking out 5. On the season, he is now 1-0. The Jesters, now 7-3, have played some good baseball in the early going.
Ishii contributed when he hit a 3-run home run in the bottom of the seventh. Coming with two outs and runners on 1st and 2nd, the home run proved to be critical to helping Jersey get the win.
"Good win for us," said Ishii. "Now we'll focus on the next one."
