The Portland Beavers beat the Eureka Hornets, 8-2, at Waterfront Park. The Beavers got a fine performance from right fielder António Barbarro, who captured player of the game honors. He went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Portland bumps their record to 48-54 with the win.

Barbarro had a clutch at-bat in the bottom of the second for the Beavers. Coming up with runners on 2nd and 3rd and Portland trailing 1-0, he hit a 3-run home run.
