New York withstood an impressive performance by Brooklyn right fielder Li-chi Au to defeat the Black Knights, 8-7, at Don Corleone Park. Au was 3-4 with a double and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. New York goes to 49-53, Brooklyn to 52-50.

New York won the game in the bottom of the ninth inning. With one out and Tokaji Goto on the mound for Brooklyn, left fielder Allan Jackson hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Mafia fans to their feet.

"It's a thrill to get that kind of win," Jackson said.
