Tom O'Day of the South Carolina Bombers spun his magic on the Bloomington Blazers today. He blanked them 6-0 on 4 hits, registering 15 strikeouts and 1 walk.

"The bottom line was I just kept the ball down," O'Day said. "My breaking stuff was down. Everything was down."

Talking to reporters in the postgame interview, South Carolina skipper Randy Huggett said the team "got solid pitching, good defense and took great team at-bats in a lot of different situations."

"Tom pitched relly well but this was a solid performance by everyone," he said.

His record for the year is 7-5 in 21 starts and O'Day has a 4.24 ERA.
