Earthquakes Get Win, Extend Streak to 4
|
San Francisco beat Cabo San Lucas on the strength of starter Jo-hsi Sang's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a 5-3 win. The winning pitcher was Sang, now 6-4. He tossed 5.1 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 4. Jonathan Martin sewed up the save, his 26th.
San Francisco center fielder Anthony Walker helped the Earthquakes go up, 2-1, in the bottom of the fourth inning. With the game tied, Walker hit a solo home run off Cabo San Lucas pitcher Bruce Lowe.
"I like the roll we're on," said San Francisco manager Dan Thibodeaux.
