Eureka Hornets starter Pat Sheffield was definitely locked-in. He led his team to a win over the South Carolina Bombers, 4-3. Eureka is now 54-45, while South Carolina is 55-43.
Late-game drama came in the bottom of the 11th inning. With no one out and runners on 1st and 2nd, Eureka first baseman Carlos Hernández hit a run-scoring single, helping his team get the win.
"Exciting game to play in," said Hernández. "Getting the win makes it even better."
