Blazers Waste Great Game from Smith
The Kansas City Tornadoes outlasted Wiley Smith and the Bloomington Blazers, 10-8. Smith was impressive in the loss. The Bloomington first baseman went 3-4 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. At 49-49, Kansas City is in third place in the Thurman Munson League Sparky Anderson Division.

In the top of the 9th, the Tornadoes grabbed the lead on a two-out double by Tsunayoshi Tanaka. Kansas City at the time was trailing 8-7, but Tanaka's bases-clearing double off Huy Ba put his team in front.

"We got the victory," said Tanaka. "That's all that matters at the end of the day."
