Blazers Win in Glorious Fashion
Despite a fine performance by left fielder Matt Winters, the Kansas City Tornadoes suffered a 12-11 loss to the Bloomington Blazers. Winters went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 5. The winner was Bloomington reliever Daniel Bonnin, now 1-0. The loser was Jake Nelson. After today's action, Bloomington sits at 34-62, while Kansas City falls to 48-49.

Late in the game, designated hitter Jim Winter had a big at-bat for Bloomington. In the bottom of the ninth, he hit a run-scoring triple off Jake Nelson. The play gave the Blazers a 12-11 lead.
