The Quebec Armada got a magnificent effort from pitcher Yohann Bosler, who kept San Francisco hitters in check en route to a 2-1 Armada win at Golden Gate Park. Pin-zhen Au got the save, the 20th for him this season. The 4th-place Armada improved to 47-49.
Late-game drama came in the top of the ninth inning. With no one out and the bases empty, the batter, Felipe Reyes, drew a walk. It helped Quebec seize the win.
"The old adage is true," said Bosler. "Good pitching stops good hitting."
