Tornadoes Snatch Late Win
|
The Kansas City Tornadoes scored a 5-4 win versus the Georgia Grays at The Death Star. Kansas City pitcher Gerard Kotas nabbed top player honors in the tight contest. Michael Burton closed the game out for Kansas City, earning his 2nd save. The win brings the Tornadoes to 3-7, an awful start for a team that made the playoffs just last season.
George Bowman made it 5-3 in favor of Kansas City when he delivered a 2-run double. It came with two out in the top of the tenth. The Tornadoes went on to win.
In postgame remarks, Bowman simply said: "Here's to a great win!"
