Bowman goes 3-for-4, Leads Tornadoes to Win
|
Benefiting from George Bowman's productive game, the Kansas City Tornadoes downed the Oklahoma City Prowlers, 11-4. Bowman went 3 for 4 with 2 doubles and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 3 for the Tornadoes. Na'il bin Bashshar got the win, improving to 4-7. He held the Prowlers to 0 runs on 3 hits over 5.1 innings, while striking out 3 and walking 1. The Tornadoes improve their record to 45-48 with the win over Oklahoma City.
The Kansas City win was a team effort. It included major contributions from, among others, Orlando Quiñones. In the top of the second, the Kansas City shortstop came to bat and hit a bases-clearing double. It staked his team to a 3-0 lead.
"We maximized our offense today," said Kansas City skipper Alex Woods. "That makes everyone's life easier."
