With left fielder Toyokazu Murayama leading the charge, the Quebec Armada defeated the Eureka Hornets, 5-3, at The Nest. Murayama, who is tied for 10th in the TML in triples with 4, went 3-4 with a home run and a triple. He scored 2 runs. Pin-zhen Au got credit for the save for Quebec. It was his 19th of the year. Quebec is now riding a 3-game win streak.
There were several reasons the Armada beat the Hornets, but one factor was Masaki Baba. In the top of the sixth, the Quebec designated hitter came to bat and hit a run-scoring single. It staked his team to a 4-3 lead.
"We played a good game and came out on top," said Baba.
