Gamblers Continue Skid Thanks to Lópes, Sasquatch
|
Benefiting from the performance of Jesús Lópes, the Seattle Sasquatch defeated the Las Vegas Gamblers, 8-1. Lópes hit 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice for the Sasquatch. Seattle starter Fernando Ruíz was credited with the win after throwing 81 pitches over 5.1 innings. His record now stands at 4-8. The 4th-place Sasquatch now have a 6-game winning streak.
Seattle took the lead in the top of the fifth when Lópes hit a 2-run home run. His 21st home run of the season made the score 2-1, Seattle.
"This team is headed in the right direction," said Lópes.
