Brooklyn rode a decent outing from starter Felipe Clavijo to victory over the Columbus Codebreakers at Blue Ivy Stadium. The final score was 5-4. Brooklyn reliever Rod Larcombe picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. José Gallegos was saddled with the loss. Yasujiro Ono earned his 1st save in 1 tries.

Also pitching for Brooklyn was first baseman Kojuro Ine, who hammered a 2-run home run in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, Ine went 2 for 4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.

"Felipe was throwing free and easy," said Brooklyn manager Diego Aguirre.

With the win, Brooklyn improves its record to 1-1.
