Loss to Marauders Extends Bloomington Losing Streak
|
Bloomington got a terrific performance from left fielder Pablo López, but it wasn't enough to beat the Maple Marauders. Maple won the Legends Park contest, 6-4. López was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He was 2 for 3 with 2 home runs and a walk. Maple reliever Khurshid Durrani was credited with the win, to go to 2-2. Ron Robinson took the loss for Bloomington. The Blazers, now 31-60, have lost 6 in a row.
George Soucy had a clutch at-bat with one out in the bottom of the seventh for the Marauders. Coming up with the bases loaded and Maple trailing 3-2, he hit a 2-run single.
"You never take a win for granted in this league," said Soucy.
