Gamblers Come Back Late, Nip Earthquakes
|
Las Vegas beat San Francisco, 5-4. The win in part was due to left fielder Sean Brooks, who nabbed player of the game honors. He went 2-2 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs. Bernalldo Rocchi sewed up the save, his 19th. Las Vegas bumps their record to 50-38 with the win.
The most important at-bat for Las Vegas came in the top of the ninth inning, when third baseman Chris Magee stroked a 2-2 forkball to right for a 2-run single, putting Las Vegas up, 5-4.
"We found a way to get it done," Brooks said.
