Hitmen Lose to Jacks, 5-2

The Chicago Hitmen and Jacksonville Jacks brought some excitement to SouthSide Park.
Jacksonville rode a fine outing from starter Jesús Ramos to victory over the Chicago Hitmen at SouthSide Park. The final score was 5-2. Ramos, now 8-4, was the winner. In 8 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 3, walking 2, and allowing 2 earned runs. Hariz Sahir recorded his 20th save for Jacksonville.
In the top of the sixth, Jacksonville right fielder Hui Pan had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and two out, Pan stroked a bases-clearing double to right. It made the score 5-1, Jacksonville. For the game, he went 3 for 5 with a double and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI.
"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Jacksonville Jacks manager Chris Schell.
Jacksonville, now 44-45, holds 5th place in the Thurman Munson League Billy Martin Division.
