The Oklahoma City Prowlers beat the Manhattan Beach Patriots, 9-2, at Stars & Stripes Stadium. The win was largely due to the efforts of third baseman Zi-jun Gou, who captured player of the game honors. He was 4 for 5 with 2 doubles and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times. Oklahoma City is in 5th place in the Thurman Munson League Sparky Anderson Division with a record of 42-45.
Sam Harrington was a key contributor to the win for the Prowlers. In the top of the first with no one out, the light-hitting shortstop stroked a double to left-center. He went 2-5 with a double.
"I thought we played a nice game," Harrington told the Oklahoma City Observer. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
