Blazers Clip Hitmen in Tight Contest
|
Bloomington Blazers starter John Leaver was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Chicago Hitmen, 4-2. Fernando Medro finished to wrap up his 1st save. Bloomington is now 31-54, Chicago 42-45.
Bloomington took a 3-2 lead in the bottom of the eighth inning, when Tom Hanson hit a clutch solo home run to bring Blazers fans to their feet.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Hanson told the Bloomington Chronicle.
