Tornadoes Lose to Armada, 5-3
|
The 2028 season is off to a good start for the Quebec Armada. The hometown Armada dumped the Kansas City Tornadoes, 5-3, at Lucky 7 Ballpark. Shunso Fukuda spearheaded the win. He belted 2 home runs. The save went to Pin-zhen Au, his 1st this season.
Jeffrey Henderson said the idea of hitting a home run crossed his mind when he came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Henderson belted a 2-run home run to stake Quebec to a 5-3 lead. His 1st home run of the season came off Kansas City pitcher Ramón Vázquez.
"We're in a marathon, not a sprint," said Fukuda. "But I like how we're playing right now."
