Zamora scores 4 runs in Earthquakes Win
Jorge Zamora was instrumental in his team's 11-4 triumph over the San Diego Hops. The third baseman went 2-3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 4 times and drove in 2 for the San Francisco Earthquakes. Jo-hsi Sang earned the win to go to 5-4. He allowed 2 earned runs on 4 hits, with 4 walks and 7 strikeouts. The first-place Earthquakes lifted their record to 50-36.

The San Francisco win was a team effort. It included major contributions from, among others, Conor Borlase. In the bottom of the first, the San Francisco center fielder came to bat and hit a bases-clearing triple. It staked his team to a 3-0 lead.

"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Borlase said.
