The Quebec Armada beat the New York Mafia, 9-4, at Don Corleone Park. The win was largely due to the efforts of catcher Tyan-yu Yang, who captured player of the game honors. He was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. The 4th-place Armada are now 42-43, the Mafia 43-43.

William Scott was 2 for 4 with a double for Quebec. In the top of the fourth, with the teams deadlocked, 1-1, Scott delivered for the Armada. His run-scoring ground out put Quebec on top, 2-1.

In comments to the Quebec Times, Yang insisted that he's not as disinterested as it often appears. "Haters will hate," he added.
