Mustangs Knock Off Manhattan Beach at McNichols Stadium

Mile High and Manhattan Beach got after it at McNichols Stadium.
Mile High center fielder Éric Cuny was a significant contributor in his team's 6-3 triumph over the Manhattan Beach Patriots. He was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for Mile High. Jose Albertrani picked up the win, improving his season record to 1-8. He struck out 6 in 6 innings.
In the bottom of the 2nd, the Mustangs grabbed the lead when Dung Vu-Pham rapped a two-out home run. Mile High was trailing 1-0, when Vu-Pham hit a 3-run home run off Kojuro Kojima to put his team in front, 3-1.
"You never take a win for granted in this league," said Vu-Pham.
The Mustangs, at 33-52, sit in last place in the Thurman Munson League Sparky Anderson Division.
