In a high-scoring contest between Maple and Jersey, third baseman Dustin McMahon was a difference-maker. McMahon, who is tied for 3rd in the TML with a .575 slugging percentage, earned player of the game honors in the 9-8 Maple win. He went 1-3 with a home run, a walk, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Adrien Clément was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 15 of 16 save opportunities. Maple is in 4th place in the Thurman Munson League Billy Martin Division with a record of 43-40.
Maple grabbed control in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and the bases loaded, Federico Cavatta delivered a 2-run single, to make it 8-6 in favor of the Marauders.
"What a game," said Cavatta. "We needed every last run."
