Titans Lose to Stogies, 4-2
|
Havana right-hander Terry Hill made an effective start against the Omaha Titans at Titans Park, leading his team to a 4-2 win. Hill, the winner, moves to 7-1. He threw 8 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 3 and giving up 2 walks. The Stogies saw their record improve to 48-35.
John Oakes in the top of the ninth had a productive at-bat. With a runner on 1st and the Stogies leading 3-2, the Havana shortstop hit a run-scoring double.
"We'll enjoy this win for now, but it's just one," Hill told local reporters. "We've got to keep it going."
