Brooklyn center fielder Kata Nishikawa played a vital role in his team's 8-3 triumph over New York. He was 3-4 with 2 doubles and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 5 for Brooklyn. The Black Knights improved to 41-42.

Nishikawa contributed a productive at-bat in the top of the fourth. With the bases loaded, he hit a bases-clearing double. It was one at-bat among others that helped Brooklyn get the win.
