Home Loss Shrinks Stogies' Series Lead to 3-2
|
The Maple Marauders have closed some of the gap between themselves and the series-leading Havana Stogies, winning 4-2 at The Humidor today. Marauders right-hander Landy Lu was named player of the game after he threw 5 innings allowing 2 runs. The win cuts the deficit facing the Marauders to 3-2 in the best-of-7 ABL World Series.
Maple shortstop Jean-Claude Petit helped the Marauders go up, 3-2, in the top of the fifth inning. With the game tied, Petit hit a run-scoring double off Havana pitcher Terry Hill.
"I tried to mix it up, keep them off balance," said Lu.
The next game is set to be played on Friday, November 10th, 2028 at Legends Park. The scheduled starters for the game are Ramón Gómez for the Stogies and Landy Lu for the Marauders.
