Almost There: Havana On Cusp of ABL World Series Triumph After 5-1 Win
The Havana Stogies moved to within one game of the Round 5 today, downing the visiting Maple Marauders at The Humidor by a score of 5-1. Stogies left-hander Joe Hardy was named player of the game after a strong outing in which he threw 8 innings of 2-hit ball. The win gives the Stogies a 3-1 advantage in the best-of-7 ABL World Series.

Hardy delivered a quality start for Havana. The 6' 0" left-hander allowed 1 run on 2 hits over 8 innings of work.

"Every team in baseball loses," Marauders manager Arinori Nakamura said. "We still have the same guys that got us here. We'll bounce back."

Game 5 is scheduled for Wednesday, November 8th, 2028 at The Humidor. The scheduled starters for the game are Dylan Butlin for the Marauders and Terry Hill for the Stogies.
