Marauders Advance to League Pennant
|
The fans in Maple are celebrating the Marauders victory over the San Francisco Earthquakes in the Divisional Championship.
They defeated the San Francisco Earthquakes 6-4 in the finale played at Legends Park to capture the series 4-2.
Oscar Hunt was chosen the series' Most Valuable Player. The Marauders right fielder batted .417, drove in 4 runs and scored 6 runs in the series.
"The Earthquakes are a good club and I don't mean any disrespect to their pitching staff, but things just felt easy this series," Hunt said. "Everything at the plate seemed right."
The Maple Marauders don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Portland Beavers - Eureka Hornets series. Eureka leads the series 3 games to 2. The League Pennant schedule will be announced after the Divisional Championship finishes.
