Sang Handcuffs Marauders, Earthquakes Seize 2-1 Advantage in Divisional Championship
|
The San Francisco Earthquakes got a strong performance from pitcher Jo-hsi Sang, who stymied the visiting Maple Marauders en route to a 6-1 win in Game 3 of the Divisional Championship today. The Marauders could never get a bead on the right-handed Sang, who threw 7 innings of 6-hit ball to earn player of the game honors. The Earthquakes now hold a 2-1 in the best-of-7 series.
In the top of the eighth, the Earthquakes found themselves in a jam. Maple had the bases loaded with two out. The score was 4-1, San Francisco. Oscar Hunt was at the plate, hoping to deal the Earthquakes a serious blow. Instead, he grounded out to end the threat.
Game 4 is scheduled for Friday, October 20th, 2028 at Golden Gate Park. The scheduled starters for the game are Yasuhiko Ito for the Marauders and Jo-hsi Sang for the Earthquakes.
