San Francisco Win to Pull Even With Maple
|
The San Francisco Earthquakes knotted up the Divisional Championship at Legends Park today, thanks in large part to starter António Medrano. Medrano quieted the Maple Marauders, enabling San Francisco to grab the 6-0 win and move into a 1-1 tie in the best-of-7 series.
Juan López helped his team jump on top from the get-go. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a 2-run single to give San Francisco a 2-0 lead.
"Everyone was so fired up that a rain delay was the last thing we wanted," Medrano said. "Thankfully, it turned out OK."
The next game is set to be played on Thursday, October 19th, 2028 at Golden Gate Park. The scheduled starters for the game are Landy Lu for the Marauders and António Medrano for the Earthquakes.
