Host Beavers Drop Pivotal Game 5, Now Trail Series 3-2
|
Eureka Hornets right fielder Luis Galindo was the difference-maker at Waterfront Park today, winning player of the game honors as he led his club to victory in a pivotal Game 5 of the Divisional Championship. The Hornets took the 8-1 win over the Portland Beavers to seize a 3-2 lead in the best-of-7 series.
Portland had runners on 1st and 3rd in the bottom of the sixth. With two out, Mun-wah Lok came to bat, hoping to do some damage. Instead, he grounded out. The score remained 3-1, Eureka. The Beavers saw their comeback bid fail.
The next game is scheduled for Monday, October 23rd, 2028 at The Nest. The scheduled starters for the game are Daryl Harrison for the Beavers and Prabodh Nimbalkar for the Hornets.
