Hornets Win to Tie Series with Beavers
The Eureka Hornets defeated the Portland Beavers, 6-3 in Game 4 of the Divisional Championship today. Earning player of the game honors was starter Paul Barrett, who threw 6 innings of 4-hit ball. The win moves Eureka into a 2-2 tie with Portland in the series.

The Hornets took the lead in the top of the fifth. With one out, Ronnie Johnson hit a 3-run home run off Portland pitcher Iván Morales, putting Eureka in front, 3-1. For the game, Johnson went 2 for 3 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.

"We're feeling pretty good in this clubhouse right now after that one," Johnson told the Eureka Times.

The next game is set to be played on Saturday, October 21st, 2028 at Waterfront Park. Slated to start are Mitsunari Kobayashi for the Hornets and Iván Morales for the Beavers.
