Codebreakers Pin 4-3 Loss on Berserkers
|
The Columbus Codebreakers scored a 4-3 win versus the Minnesota Berserkers at Central Park Downtown Stadium. Columbus pitcher Kinnosuke Sato nabbed top player honors in the tight contest. Manny Palma earned the save, his 19th. Columbus has 3 straight wins, Minnesota 3 straight losses.
One important at-bat came with runners on 2nd and 3rd in the bottom of the third inning. Facing Minnesota hurler Yong-koo Song, Dean Graham, who is tied for 9th in the RCL with a .513 slugging percentage, drew a walk. The Codebreakers went on to win.
"We made a couple of mistakes," said Minnesota skipper Jerry Miller, "and it cost us."
