Riverside Wins to Cut Rock River Lead to 3-2
The Riverside Red Bulls have closed some of the gap between themselves and the series-leading Rock River Rats, winning 7-2 at The Rat Hole today. Red Bulls left-hander Pat McConnell was named player of the game after he threw 7 innings allowing 2 runs. The win cuts the deficit facing the Red Bulls to 3-2 in the best-of-7 Double A World Series.

Carlos Cordero had a good at-bat late in the game. With Rock River trailing 4-1 in the bottom of the 5th, Cordero hit a run-scoring single. But the Rats held on to win it. "This game is about scoring runs," said manager Joe Ward. "We obviously didn't get enough."

Game 6 is set to be played on Tuesday, October 17th, 2028 at Red Bull Stadium. Slated to start are Josuke Fujihara for Rock River and Jay Till for Riverside.
