Win Extends Flash Lead to 4-2 Over Mustangs
The Fairfield Flash moved to within one game of the Round 3 today, downing the visiting Billings Mustangs at Durham Bulls Athletic Park by a score of 4-1. Flash right-hander Saiyid Mashwanis was named player of the game after a strong outing in which he threw 5 innings of shutout ball. The win gives the Flash a 4-2 advantage in the best-of-7 Triple A World Series.

Garin Renzenbrink had a critical at-bat with two out in the bottom of the eighth for Fairfield. He came through with a 3-run home run to put Fairfield in front, 4-1.

"Every team in baseball loses," Mustangs manager Keith Irwin said. "We still have the same guys that got us here. We'll bounce back."
