Mustangs Win to Tie Series with Flash
The Billings Mustangs defeated the Fairfield Flash, 10-8 in Game 4 of the Triple A World Series today. Earning player of the game honors was right fielder Pedro Renterías, who was 3-4 with 3 singles and a walk. He drove in 4 runs. The win moves Billings into a 2-2 tie with Fairfield in the series.

Had Renterías not come through in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have changed. Instead, with two down, Renterías hit a 2-run single. The Mustangs never looked back after taking the 9-7 lead.

Renterías said the win provided a "big morale boost" for the team. "There's a pretty good feeling in the clubhouse right now."

Game 5 is set to be played on Sunday, October 15th, 2028 at Cobb Field. Slated to start are Ramón Gómez for the Flash and Robert Howard for the Mustangs.
