When the games really matter, the Havana Stogies put on their best show, beating the So Cal Republic by a final score of 9-8 today. Qian Thean earned player of the game honors, as he hit 3 home runs, while scoring 4 runs and driving in 4. Havana now leads So Cal 2-1 in the best-of-7 affair.

Reynaldo Aguilera was the walk-off hero for Havana. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth, the Havana first baseman hit a dramatic solo home run to send the teams home.

"This place was jumping at the end," Thean said.

The next game is scheduled for Sunday, October 29th, 2028 at The Humidor. The scheduled starters for the game are Adhipa Vemireddy for So Cal and Ramón Gómez for Havana.
