In these crucial games, the So Cal Republic put on their best show, beating the Havana Stogies by a final score of 10-8 today. Qian Thean earned player of the game honors, as he went 5 for 5 with 5 singles, while scoring 3 runs. So Cal and Havana are now tied at 1 wins apiece in the best-of-7 affair.

So Cal took the lead with two out in the bottom of the second when Jong-min Kim Jr. stroked a bases-clearing double. That made the score 6-3 in favor of So Cal. For the day, Kim Jr. was 3-4 with 2 doubles and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once.
