Earthquakes Running Away With Divisional Round After 5-2 Victory
|
Despite a great performance by South Carolina catcher Shannon Craft, the San Francisco Earthquakes defeated the Bombers by the score of 5-2 at Bomber Ballpark today. Craft went 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs to earn player of the game honors, but could not prevent the Earthquakes from moving one game closer to the Divisional Championship. San Francisco now leads the Divisional Round 3-0.
Alfredo García was a prime contributor to the San Francisco win. He went 1-5. He drove in 2 runs. In the top of the second with two out, the 26-year old right fielder hit a run-scoring single. It made the score 2-0, in favor of the Earthquakes.
"We're going to have to play flawless baseball from here on out," South Carolina manager Randy Huggett said. "Which, let's face it, we haven't been doing lately."
The next game is set to be played on Wednesday, October 11th, 2028 at Bomber Ballpark. The scheduled starters for the game are Jo-hsi Sang for the Earthquakes and Luis Vega for the Bombers.
