Home Field Advantage: Ramírez, San Francisco Open Divisional Round With Win
The Divisional Round got off to a quiet start today, with the host San Francisco Earthquakes taking a low-scoring 3-0 win over the South Carolina Bombers. San Francisco right-hander Gonzalo Ramírez was marvelous at Golden Gate Park and was named player of the game. The Earthquakes now hold a 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series.

The outcome was still in doubt with two out in the top of the fifth inning, but Ramírez was able to pitch out of a jam. With runners on 1st and 2nd and South Carolina trailing 2-0, Ramírez retired Wang-fen Rui, who flied out.

The next game is scheduled for Sunday, October 8th, 2028 at Golden Gate Park. The scheduled starters for the game are Ruberto Laranjeira for the Bombers and Gonzalo Ramírez for the Earthquakes.
