Black Knights Beat Stogies 6-4 in Series Opener
The Brooklyn Black Knights started the Divisional Championship in style today, winning on the road against the Havana Stogies at The Humidor by a score of 6-4 to take an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series. Black Knights designated hitter Carlos Campos was named player of the game after he was 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2.

Brooklyn took control in the top of the eighth. With one out and a runner on 2nd, Ernest Vance hit a run-scoring single to make it 5-4, Black Knights.

Stogies manager Reynaldo Vázquez did not take questions after the game, telling assembled reporters that he would hold a press conference "if and when we win the ABL World Series."

The next game is scheduled for Tuesday, October 17th, 2028 at The Humidor. Slated to start are Wilson Deleón for the Black Knights and Terry Hill for the Stogies.
