Pivotal Game 5 Goes to Host Shamrocks, 8-5
|
The Pacifica Shamrocks moved to within one game of the Double A World Series today, downing the visiting Riverside Red Bulls at McCormick Field by a score of 8-5. Shamrocks catcher Shi-kai Tsu was named player of the game after he went 4-5 with 4 singles. He drove in 4 runs. The win gives the Shamrocks a 3-2 advantage in the best-of-7 Double A League Championship.
Tsu contributed a productive at-bat in the bottom of the second. With the bases loaded, he hit a 2-run single. It was one at-bat among others that helped Pacifica get the win.
"Huge," Tsu said. "Game 5 is huge."
Game 6 is set to be played on Saturday, October 7th, 2028 at Red Bull Stadium. Slated to start are John Payne for the Shamrocks and Chuk-yan Chio for the Red Bulls.
