Road Win Lifts Pacifica to 1-0 Lead in Double A League Championship
The Pacifica Shamrocks started the Double A League Championship in style today, winning on the road against the Riverside Red Bulls at Red Bull Stadium by a score of 4-1 to take an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series. Shamrocks right-hander Iván Cabrera was named player of the game after he threw 5 innings of 3-hit ball.

Eppe de Valk gave Pacifica a good at-bat in the top of the sixth inning. With runners on 1st and 3rd, he hit a run-scoring single to help send Pacifica to the win.

"Every team in baseball loses," Red Bulls manager Joe Ward said. "We still have the same guys that got us here. We'll bounce back."

Game 2 is scheduled for Sunday, October 1st, 2028 at Red Bull Stadium. The scheduled starters for the game are Carlos León for the Shamrocks and Jay Till for the Red Bulls.
